It looks as if there was a stain on leather which someone tried to remove before, but it still looks like a shiny spot and feels rough to the touch. Unfortuntely, it is too expensive to return, so I am stuck with it.Also, it is not as comfortable as the other reviews say because the back is very low.

    "While I love the look of these chairs (we bought two) we have had an issue with the base on one of them. We bought these chairs in December 07 and when they arrived the base of one was damaged (it was like some plastic had melted into the metal party). We were able to get a new base shipped to us without even having to ship back the damaged one so that was great customer service on Overstock's part. The leather is also a great quality. However, after only one year the base on one seems to be broken. The chair is wobbly (best way I can describe it!) and we don't even sit in the chairs THAT often...? So, I am working with Overstock to figure out if we can get ANOTHER new base and I don't know yet if there is a warranty. Even if there is, it is a hassle and a chair of this quality shouldn't be broken after one year's minimal use! I also don't find them very comfortable but my in-laws do; they use them when they visit or house-sit for us to read in so I guess it's personal preference. Hope the review helps!
